We hope this letter finds you safe and healthy. Please take a moment to review the following fall and winter seasonal reminders.
Home Maintenance
Walk around the outside of your home and inspect your siding and skirting for any damage. Holes in skirting allow animals to enter the underbelly of your home, where they can cause major issues. Any damaged skirting must be replaced.
To purchase skirting at discounted prices, please contact our Nevada office at (515) 382-2020. Approved skirting includes Trugard white vertical skirting and EverRock vinyl stone skirting (gray or brown). Wood sheds must be painted and kept in good repair.
Lawn Refuse
Ensure your lawn is raked and free of sticks and leaves. As a courtesy, we will haul away bagged clippings, sticks, and leaves placed at the curb. Dog waste must be picked up daily and properly disposed of. Do not place dog waste in your lawn refuse bags.
Please remember that all cleanup and maintenance requests are required by park policies.
Windows
Inspect windows for leaks and make necessary repairs. Do not install clear plastic on the exterior of your home.
Furnaces
Have your furnace inspected by a qualified technician before heating season begins. Replace or clean furnace filters at this time. Test smoke, fire, and carbon monoxide detectors, and replace batteries as needed.
Water Lines
Check your heat tape! Check your heat tape! Check your heat tape! Confirm it is functioning properly.
Make sure faucets are not dripping and toilets are not running—slow leaks can cause frozen sewer pipes. Do not leave faucets running during cold weather. Disconnect garden hoses from outside faucets to prevent ruptured water lines.
Selling Your Home
If you plan to sell your home, please contact your community manager for an exterior inspection. Any required items must be completed before the sale.
All buyers must complete our application process and be approved by management. Applications are available on our website.
